The first day of school is just around the corner! Sept. 7 will be a half day, starting at 8:30 and dismissing at 11:00. Students will begin the year by returning to their old classrooms and teachers. We are doing this to facilitate the creation of new and balanced classrooms. Please expect your child to remain with last year's teacher until Thursday, as we create new class lists that balance and accomodate student needs to the best of our abilities.  Drop off and pick up will be at this classroom door for  Tues., and Wed., and Thurs. of the first week. On August 3, the B.C. Government formally recognized September 30 as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in alignment with legislation passed by the federal government in June.

As part of this formal recognition, the Abbotsford School District will be closed to all students and staff on Thursday, September 30, 2021. District employees usually entitled to federal and provincial statutory holidays will receive this day off.

Enhanced safety measures and $121.2 million in federal funding are on the way, as the Province continues to strengthen health and safety plans in K-12 schools to keep students, teachers and staff safe during the pandemic.
