End of June Message
Hello McMillan Families,
Another school year is coming to a close, and along with the wonderful, fun memories comes some harder good-byes. Yesterday we bid farewell to our grade 5 students and wished them all the best as they continue their learning in the new and exciting world of middle school! At this time I would also like to draw your attention to some staff changes, so that we can all wish everyone the best as well.
Good- bye to Ms Rustad, who is finishing up her temporary contract with us We thank her for all the support she has given so many students this year. Thanks to her consistent effort, many students gained many reading levels this year!
Good- bye to Mrs. Woods. Mrs. Woods has worked Wednesdays with Mrs. Pearce for many years now, and she will be missed! Good luck in your future post!
Good – bye to Ms. Leclair! Ms. Leclair has accepted a position as an LSS Helping Teacher, where she can share her expertise with many schools. We will miss her dearly at McMillan, but will let everyone know just as soon as we know who will be replacing her.
Next year, Ms. Groot will be working 4 days a week in a team teaching position with Mrs. Pearce, who is taking a year to work one day a week. We are thrilled to have Ms Groot with us for the next year and know that she and Mrs. Pearce will make an excellent teaching partnership!
It has been a wonderful school year, and McMillan staff remain grateful for all the support we have from our parent community. Please see the attached end of year message from Minister Singh.
