Orange Shirt Day

September 30 is our National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Since we are not in attendance on September 29 or 30, students will be recognizing the day at school on September 28. Please wear your orange shirt on this day to promote awareness of the wrongs endured by Indigenous People and help everyone recognize that Every Child Matters. 

Abbotsford School District acknowledges historical and ongoing injustices that Indigenous Peoples endure in Canada, and we accept responsibility as a public educational institution to contribute toward revealing and correcting miseducation as well as renewing respectful relationships with Indigenous communities through our teaching and community engagement.
