McMillan Community Pantry Drive

I want to extend a heart felt thank you to everyone who has supported our school's community pantry. Please know that it has been greatly appreciated! As we head towards spring break, we are going to open up another school wide drive to replenish the pantry, in hopes of providing some extra support for families over spring break. If you are able to support please consider donating something in the following categories. (All donations are appreciated!)

-toiletries: specifically feminine hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner or other hair products, soaps, body wash, toothpaste, etc

-canned meats: chicken, tuna

-baking supplies: flour, sugar, oil, baking powder/soda, etc

-seasonings, sauces

-cereal

-lunch box/snack options; granola bars, fruit cups, crackers, etc

-canned/packaged foods, especially those items that contribute to a balanced meal (canned veggies, side kicks, boxed potatoes etc) or are a meal themselves (soups, Chef Boyardee, etc)

-gift cards to nearby grocery stores (this is so helpful for families to provide fruits and vegetables, milk, bread and other perishables)

We are super excited to be receiving a fridge/freezer through the Ministry's Feeding Futures program, and are hopeful that in the future we may be able to receive and distribute small amounts of perishables. I will keep you posted about that.

Our drive will run from Feb. 26 to Mar 8. If you are a family that can use some support, please feel free to access the community pantry at any time before, during or after school hours. We especially invite you to stop by the week of Mar. 10 - 15, in preparation for spring break.
